Acting on behalf of Brownfield Investments Ltd BLS have secured detailed planning consent for a scheme to undertake alterations and extensions to the complex of headworks buildings comprising Phase 2 of the Wheal Jane Earth Science Park, Wheal Jane, Baldhu, Truro. The development provides for the upgrading of the existing office and laboratory complex to Breeam very good together with new extension to provide additional high quality office/laboratory space. BLS have previously provided advice to Brownfield Investments Ltd in respect of the masterplan for the Wheal Jane site with the adoption by Cornwall Council as policy of a Development Framework aimed at delivering the long term restoration of the Wheal Jane mine site.
